A couple of years ago I was asked to write this chapter and, although I had a very hectic workload after becoming a senior leader, I decided that it was an important chapter to write – especially considering that it was for the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children).

The book chapter explores the nature of digital and internet technologies in society while exploring ideas such as the “filter affect” of social media on children’s perception of the world. It shares examples of classroom practice using digital technologies while advocating a proactive rather than reactive approach to e-safety in schools.

It’s published by Wiley-Blackwell on 2nd June 2017 and you can pre-order it now.
